Job Title

Cabinet Fittings Warehouse Operator

Report To:

Warehouse Controller Cabinet Fittings

Purpose:

Ensure that cabinet fittings and accessories are handled, packed, and dispatched to customers correctly and ensure that the warehouse is maintained as per group standard operating procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementing all standard operating procedures adopted by the company
• Pulling of stock as per Picking Slip
• Dispatching of cabinet fittings and accessories to customers
• Dispatching of edging to production
• Checking and receiving of stock from suppliers and other branches
• Packing of stock in the correct bin location as directed by the warehouse controller
• Participates in stock takes quarterly and at financial year end.
• Complete, stamp and signing of picking slips when dispatching accessories & cabfit to customer and production
• Conduct daily cycle counts
• Stamp and sign Job Cards when dispatching edging to production
• Maintenance of Bin Numbers
• Managing pre pack schedule to ensure pre packs are always available
• Shelf Talkers and labels on all bins
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and housekeeping of the warehouse area is done daily
• Filing away of picking slips in the dispatched and To Follow Files
• Ensuring the bulk section is packed and labelled correctly

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Must have product knowledge of accessories
• Numeracy and literacy are key skills for this position
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Write, read, and speak in English
• Understand the impact of stock loss or damage on the business.
• Product knowledge, especially knowledge of new products and trends

Education and Qualification:

• Grade 12 Qualification or equivalent
• Cabinet fittings warehousing experience will be advantageous

Mandatory Requirements:

• Min 12 months experience in a warehouse environment
• Grade 12 Qualification or equivalent
• Ability to read and write and speak English
