Description

As a Database Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our data.

You will use strong SQL and database-querying expertise to validate and reconcile data across source and target systems. With a good understanding of ETL testing and data warehousing concepts, you will identify data quality issues, validate complex transformations, and test data pipelines

. Experience with Big Data technologies and cloud platforms will be advantageous when working with large-scale datasets and distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform data validation and reconciliation testing to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct functional, integration, and end-to-end testing of data workflows and ETL processes.
• Use SQL and database querying for direct data verification and troubleshooting.
• Apply ETL testing and data warehousing concepts to verify transformation logic and mappings.
• Test data pipelines and transformations for large datasets using Big Data technologies where applicable.
• Identify and document data quality issues, inconsistencies, and defects across systems.
• Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to reproduce and resolve data-related problems.
• Prepare clear test reports, defect descriptions, and verification evidence.
• Keep current with best practices and emerging tools in database testing and Big Data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.years
• Experience in Years: 6 +
• Strong SQL and database-querying skills for data validation and reconciliation.
• Practical understanding of ETL testing and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is highly desirable.
• Experience testing data pipelines and working with large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently.
