A well-established electrical company in Stellenbosch is seeking a qualified Electrician to join its team. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to construction, residential and light-industrial electrical work.Key responsibilitiesInstall, assemble, test and maintain electrical equipment and systems.Install DB boards, enclosures, conduits, trunking and grounding systems.Wire circuit breakers, transformers and other electrical components.Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and site specifications.Deliver single-phase and three-phase commercial and industrial installations.Ensure electrical system reliability, continuity and safe operation.Follow electrical codes, safety requirements and company procedures at all times.Support and oversee installation teams on site where required.Carry out related ad-hoc duties as needed.Minimum requirementsQualified, trade-tested Electrician.Minimum two years’ post-trade experience.Valid driver’s licence.No criminal record.Willingness to work overtime when required.Able to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.Advantageous experienceValid Wireman’s Licence.Construction and residential electrical installation experience.Supervising or coordinating installation teams.Renewable-energy exposure, including solar and inverter systems.Multi-discipline maintenance experience.Personal attributesPractical, positive and reliable with a strong work ethic.Strong fault-finding ability and attention to detail.Committed to safety, compliance and quality workmanship.Organised, customer-focused and able to work well under pressure.Able to manage site priorities and meet deadlines.If you meet the requirements and enjoy practical, varied electrical work, please apply with your CV.
