Introduction

Amka Products is seeking a creative and commercially minded Graphic Designer & Social Media Specialist to join the Export Management team. The role focuses on developing high‑quality visual and digital content, managing social media platforms, and adapting brand communications for diverse African markets. Working closely with Brand Managers, the successful candidate will strengthen brand presence through compelling storytelling, content localisation, and integrated campaign support. Key responsibilities include designing digital and print content, managing social media calendars, creating static and video assets, localising marketing materials for East, West, Central, and Southern Africa, and analysing platform performance. The role requires a relevant qualification, at least five years’ experience, strong Adobe/Canva proficiency, excellent copywriting skills, and a solid portfolio. Experience in FMCG, African market adaptation, and digital media trends is advantageous. We are seeking a creative and commercially minded Graphic Designer & Social Media Specialist to join our Export Management team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create compelling content, build brand presence, and adapt marketing communications for diverse African markets while supporting the growth of our premium brands.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing engaging visual and digital content that strengthens brand presence across multiple platforms. Working closely with Brand Managers and the Export team, you will help bring our brands to life through creative storytelling, social media management, and content localisation for key African markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-quality visual content for social media, digital campaigns, e-commerce platforms, and print media.


• Develop, manage, and execute social media content calendars across multiple brands.


• Create engaging static, animated, and short-form video content.


• Support the planning and execution of integrated brand campaigns.


• Adapt content, creative assets, and media communications for specific African markets to ensure cultural relevance and consumer engagement.


• Collaborate with Brand Management and Export teams to localise marketing materials for East, West, Central, and Southern African markets.


• Monitor and analyse social media performance, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.


• Write compelling social media captions, campaign copy, and promotional content.


• Ensure consistency of brand identity and messaging across all touchpoints.


• Stay informed on digital marketing trends, emerging platforms, and content best practices.


• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.


• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in graphic design, social media, or digital marketing.


• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva.


• Experience creating content for social-first platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.


• Excellent copywriting and communication skills.


• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Advantageous Experience

• FMCG, consumer goods, beauty, personal care, or home care industry experience.


• Experience supporting brands across African markets.


• Understanding of content localisation and media adaptation strategies.


• Knowledge of African consumer trends, cultural nuances, and regional digital media landscapes.


• Basic photography, videography, and video editing skills.
