Job Description

Our client, based in the United Kingdom, is looking for a talented and experienced Financial Manager to join their team. They are looking for a South African to join their team on a part-time basis. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
• Execute on the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Incorporate our accounting agency's reports into our UK management accounts.
• Liaise with the Accountancy agency to ensure smooth financial management.
• Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash balances to optimize liquidity.
• Identify opportunities to improve cash flow efficiency and minimize financial risk.
• Streamline and optimize financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed to support financial audits and filings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CIMA or ACCA preferred.
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Xero or Quickbooks preferred.

This is a remote permanent part-time position (half-day) Monday-Friday.

Location: South Africa based, remote work.

Salary: R25 000 - R30 000 p.m. (depending on experience).

Starting date: As soon as possible.
