Head of Finance
Location: Sandton / Fourways, Gauteng

The Opportunity
Our client, a growing company within the energy equipment sector, is looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Head of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial administration, effective cash-flow management and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
- Prepare, process and issue customer invoices accurately and timeously.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on customer accounts and payments.
- Process and manage supplier and business payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are correctly captured.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with cash-flow forecasting.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Liaise with clients regarding invoices, payments, account queries and financial matters.
- Conduct regular client visits to maintain strong relationships and understand client requirements.
- Assist with pricing, quotations and financial aspects of client proposals where required.
- Prepare financial reports and management information for senior management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Ensure financial policies, procedures and internal controls are adhered to.
- Work closely with management and other departments to support the overall financial performance of the business.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.
- Provide general financial and administrative support as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Relevant Accounting, Finance or Bookkeeping qualification would be advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years' relevant finance/accounting experience.
- Strong experience in invoicing, payments, reconciliations and financial administration.
- Good understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Excellent Excel skills and good computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients and conducting client visits.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
