Tax Associate Up to R 320 000.00 per annum Stellenbosch

Your Role:

As a Tax Associate youll support the preparation of tax filings and bookkeeping while ensuring clients receive accurate timely and professional service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build expertise in tax within a collaborative and technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Making Tax Digital (MTD) quarterly updates and annual returns.
• Prepare Personal Tax Returns.
• Process financial information received from clients and third parties.
• Reconcile Xero transactions and accounting data.
• Assist with bookkeeping and tax compliance engagements.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax and financial information.
• Ensure accurate confidential handling of client data.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet client deadlines.
• Assist with ad-hoc tax and finance projects.

Requirements:

• 12 years experience in an accounting or tax environment is advantageous.
• Exposure to bookkeeping or tax compliance is beneficial.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A genuine interest in building a career in tax and accounting.
