External Sales Engineer (Associate)

We are dedicated to delivering innovative high-quality modular solutions to our clients across various strengthen our sector engagement capability and support the growth of our modular offerings were looking for a Sales Engineer to guide clients through the technical qualification process and translate their needs into commercially viable modular solutions.

The External Sales Engineerplays a role in progressing qualified opportunities into clearly defined technical-commercial scopes. Acting as sector specialists not cold hunters they lead technical discussions with clients shape early solution concepts and ensure clarity before proposals are developed. Supported by Business Development for lead generation and by Proposals for pricing and compliance Sales Engineers act as the technical closers who drive deal progression.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Engagement & Scope Shaping

• Lead technical qualification sessions with clients to clarify challenges applications modular fit and constraints.
• Define the preliminary technical scope outline options and modular applicability before Proposals becomes involved.
• Prepare high-level solution concepts ROM estimates and modular recommendations aligned with client needs

Sector Expertise & Client Pathways

• Serve as sector specialists developing deep client engagement pathways within assigned industries.
• Stay informed on industry trends regulatory standards technologies and competitor behaviour.

Bid Preparation & Opportunity Progression

• Ensure complete and accurate client data constraints assumptions and requirements before Proposals begin detailed tender development.
• Collaborate with the Pursuit Manager to shape win strategies differentiators and value propositions.
• Track each opportunity through the CRM with rigor ensuring pipeline accuracy and visibility

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Lifecycle Services to identify aftermarket opportunities and long-term value pathways.
• Engage regularly with Engineering Business Development Proposals and Technical Sales to ensure alignment across all pursuit stages

Job requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Mechanical or Process Engineering or related technical field. Additional qualifications in Sales Engineering Business Development or Project Management advantageous.
• 3-5 years external/client facing experience in technical/equipment sales solution engineering applications engineering or process engineering.
• Experience in the mining industry not essential but highly advantageous.
• Experience in modular process equipment FEED/EPC/EPS environments or industrial process plants highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to conducttechnical conversations with clients and shape early scope definitions.
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles modular design and capital equipment applications.
• Ability to prepare rough-order estimates conceptual layouts and high-level technical recommendations.
• CRM proficiency and strong documentation discipline
