We are a leading manufacturing company in Durban, South Africa, and we are currently seeking skilled and semiskilled Boilermakers to join our team.

As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing boilers, tanks, and other large vessels.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking and welding, as well as experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct, assemble, and repair boilers, tanks, and other large vessels according to blueprints and specifications
• Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to cut, shape, and join metal parts
• Inspect and test completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise during the construction process
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Boilermaker in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of metalworking and welding techniques
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary
• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Must adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
