Job Description:

We are currently seeking skilled and semiskilled boilermakers to join our team in Cape Town. As a boilermaker, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment. You will work with a variety of materials, such as steel, iron, and aluminum, to fabricate and install structures and components according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
• Measure and mark cutting and bending lines on materials
• Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, and shape metal pieces
• Weld or bolt components together to construct or repair structures
• Inspect and test completed structures to ensure they meet specifications
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues with existing structures or equipment
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade certification as a boilermaker
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
• Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
