Job PurposeTo meticulously assemble and disassemble moulds for the manufacturing process. Responsible for maintaining, repairing and modifying moulds to ensure optimal performance and production efficiency.Requirements for ApplicantsEducational:Possession of Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science as a minimum requirementCertified C02 WelderAdditionalForklift License will be advantageousFamiliarity with different types of moulds and their respective componentsProficient in using hand and power tools for the installation, repair and maintenance of mouldsStrong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExperience in aluminium weldingExperience in general maintenance and engineeringExperientialMinimum of 3 years’ experience in mould fitting or related field in a manufacturing environmentKey Performance AreasRepairs & MaintenanceMaintain and repair moulds used in the manufacturing processInspect and test moulds to ensure they meet quality standards (carryout routine checks as per mould check sheet)Modify moulds to meet specific requirementsMould cleaning as per planAdministrationKeep accurate records of maintenance and repairs done to mouldsProblem SolvingIdentity process related problems linked to mouldsOversee moulds, tool & machinery & maintenance :Attend to tool/moulds/machines so they operate correctly and produce the desired results.Assist maintenance in breakdowns/line stoppagesMonitor gauges and calibrate machinery, etc.Inspect finished goods:Examine output products to ensure products are up to standards.Safety:Abide by workplace and governmental safety guidelines to reduce the chance of injury.At all times, wear proper safety gear required for the areaTake reasonable health and safety care for yourself and others working with you.Cleaning up the work area – adhering to 5S principles at all times.Ensure lock out tag out procedures are followed when performing machinery maintenance or when breakdowns occurComply with all legal and other related health and safety requirements.Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplaceAddress workplace hazards and risksReport any unsafe situation that comes to your attention as soon as practicableContinuous improvement:Improve processes and procedures related to mould maintenance and repairHow to ApplyShould you wish to apply please email your CV through to Meriek Robinson at meriek@profilepersonnel.co.za.
