Construction Foreman

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join the Port Elizabeth team,

• Supervise and coordinate daily constructionactivities on-site
• Manage site labour, subcontractors, andsuppliers to ensure productivity and efficiency
• Allocate tasks and monitor work performance toensure project milestones are achieved
• Interpret and implement construction drawings,plans, and specifications
• Ensure all work is carried out according toapproved designs and quality standards
• Monitor project progress and report on siteactivities to project management
• Identify and resolve site-related challengesand delays
  
• Lead, motivate, and supervise constructionteams
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and site briefings
• Manage attendance, timekeeping, and workforceproductivity
  
• Ensure employees are trained and equipped toperform their duties safely and effectively
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliancewith project specifications and industry standards
• Enforce compliance with the OccupationalHealth and Safety Act and site-specific safety requirements
• Conduct regular site safety inspections andrisk assessments
• Ensure all employees and subcontractors useappropriate PPE
• Monitor material usage and control wastage
• Coordinate the delivery, storage, and usage ofconstruction materials
  
• Ensure plant, machinery, and equipment areoperated safely and maintained appropriately
• Report equipment defects and arrange repairswhen necessary
• Liaise with project managers, engineers,architects, consultants, and subcontractors
  

Requirements

• Grade12
• Qualificationin Construction, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5years' experience in the construction industry
• At least2-3 years' experience in a Foreman or Site Supervisory role
• Provenexperience supervising teams on commercial, residential, industrial, or civilconstruction projects
• Experiencemanaging subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on site
• Ability toread and interpret construction drawings and specifications
