National Retail Operations Manager

A leading group in the fuel, retail, and food industry is looking for an experienced Senior National Retail Operations Manager to manage multiple sites, including filling stations, franchised fast-food restaurants, and supermarkets. You will lead operations across several sites, build strong relationships with franchisees, and help shape a 5-year growth strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage day-to-day operations while also driving long-term business goals. What You'll Do Manage daily operations across fuel, retail, and food outlets Grow and maintain relationships with franchisees, suppliers, and customers Meet sales targets and manage budgets, GP margins, and stock levels Use data and reporting to track performance and fix problem areas Lead and develop teams across different regions Oversee new store openings, renovations, and expansions Ensure sites follow safety, brand, and franchise standards What You'll Need A completed tertiary qualification Management-level experience in FMCG or retail (merchandising and operations) Strong financial skills – budgets, margins, and reporting Good computer skills (Excel/Sheets, and ideally SQL or BI tools) A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites regularly A clean, reliable, professional track record Strong leadership and people skills Good problem-solving under pressure Great communication with teams and stakeholders Ability to manage multiple projects at once A results-driven, target-focused mindset Ability to manage and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment #mycareercraft #jobsmycareercraft #mycareercraftjob #retailjobskzn #kznjob
