Are you an experienced finance professional with a strong background in the mining industry We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established investment organization seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Financial Manager / Financial Analyst to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working on complex mining projects developing financial models and providing strategic financial insight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models for mining operations and projects.
- Perform project valuations including Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules ready for annual audits.
- Conduct financial analysis to support investment and business decisions.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
- Approximately 10 years experience in a senior financial management or financial analyst role.
- Mining industry experience is essential.
- Proven experience building financial models for mining projects.
- Strong understanding of project valuation techniques including NPV and IRR.
- Experience preparing audit-ready financial statements.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication abilities.
