Senior Solar Electrician Solar Operations Manager

Cradock Area Eastern Cape South Africa: Our client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Solar Electrician / Solar Operations Manager to oversee solar installations electrical operations staff and the day-to-day administration of the business.

This is a senior hands-on position requiring a candidate with strong technical solar and electrical expertise combined with the ability to manage teams projects clients administration and operational requirements.

The successful candidate must be capable of taking ownership of projects from planning and installation through to commissioning maintenance and fault finding.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade qualification
• Relevant solar/PV qualifications and certifications
• Proven experience with solar PV systems inverters batteries and electrical installations
• Strong knowledge of solar system installation commissioning maintenance and fault finding
• Experience managing solar installation projects and technical teams
• Strong staff supervision and leadership skills
• Good administrative and organisational ability
• Computer literate
• Strong client communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid drivers licence
• Must be willing to work hands-on and travel to project sites when required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee solar PV and electrical installations
• Plan and coordinate projects staff equipment and materials
• Supervise electricians technicians and installation teams
• Ensure installations are completed safely correctly and within required timelines
• Commission maintain troubleshoot and repair solar systems
• Diagnose faults relating to inverters batteries panels electrical components and system performance
• Manage daily operational and administrative requirements
• Coordinate purchasing stock materials and equipment required for projects
• Liaise professionally with clients suppliers and contractors
• Maintain accurate project documentation reports and job records
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical health and safety and industry standards
• Train and develop junior technical staff
• Take responsibility for the quality and performance of completed installations
