Senior Tax Practitioner

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Practitioner to join our reputable clients team.

Requirements:

• Relevant Tertiary qualification / Tax Qualification Registration as a Tax Practitioner with SARS / recognized controlling body Strong experience with Double Tax Agreements (DTA) and cross-border tax (non-negotiable/essential)
• Proven experience managing SARS processes e-Filing and client call center operations Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients auditors SARS consultants and partners
• Ability to meet monthly billing targets keep timesheets updated daily and work efficiently under pressure Attention to detail and accuracy High integrity and commitment to compliance

Experience with:

• Double Tax Agreements (DTA) and cross-border tax issues Filing individual provisional and company income tax returns tax calculations and return of earnings
• Liaising with clients for information gathering and assisting with statutory

registrations (PAYE UIF COIDA/Workmans Compensation VAT Income Tax)

• Liaising with SARS consultants attending practitioner appointments and handling branch/PCC queries
• Applying for tax directives tax clearance residency certificates import/export customs registration deferred payments compromises and deregistrations Software systems: SARS e-Filing CaseWare TaxWare and Pastel processing / slip capturing Managing SARS tax assessments (downloading reviewing and communicating to clients) and updating client banking details
• Monthly billing tracking targets maintaining daily timesheets and day-to-day tax practice operations
