Lodge Manager

A big five private game reserve in Limpopo's Lowveld is looking for an experienced and hands-on LODGE MANAGER to join their team.

You'll be running the day to day operations of an intimate safari lodge, balancing guest experience with the practical realities of a remote bush environment. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, leads from the front, and is comfortable wearing many hats in a small-team setting.

Core Criteria:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Lodge Manager or senior Assistant Manager role within a luxury safari or lodge environment
• Strong operational and administrative skills, including stock control and budgeting
• Proven staff management and leadership ability
• Excellent guest relations and hospitality standards
• Comfortable living and working in a remote reserve setting
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Flexible, resilient, and adaptable under pressure

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee all day-to-day lodge operations across front of house, kitchen, and housekeeping
• Manage and mentor lodge staff, ensuring high performance and morale
• Handle guest check-ins, guest relations, and resolve any queries or concerns
• Control stock, ordering, and budgets across departments
• Maintain service standards and ensure a seamless guest experience
• Liaise with management on reporting, occupancy, and operational matters
• Coordinate maintenance needs and report on lodge infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Step in across departments as needed to keep operations running smoothly

On Offer:

• Salary: R25,000 to R30,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
• Live-in position, accommodation and meals on duty included
