Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.About the YES InitiativeThe President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

About the role
The role offers practical exposure to a diverse client portfolio and opportunities to develop your technical and professional skills. By contributing to high-quality audit engagements, you will support the firm's commitment to delivering trusted assurance services in a collaborative and ethical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in audit engagements and executing the work plan
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility & providing support
• Communicating and updating senior team members on progress
• Preparing and attending meetings with target management teams
• Preparing reports and schedules, Interpreting financial statements
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients
• Select appropriate accounting frameworks and policies
• Accounts for the entity’s transactions, including non-routine transactions
• Building strong internal working relationships across all services lines
• Contribute towards securing the best talent at the firm
• Act ethically and in accordance with the rules of professional conduct

Minimum Requirements

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
• Matric.
• BCom Accounting degree OR Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA).
