E-Commerce Marketplace Key Account Manager

This is acommercial e-commerce role, not an administrative position . The successful candidate will take ownership of existing marketplace accounts, improve marketplace performance, increase sales and identify opportunities to expand onto additional platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities

Take ownership of the companys performance across all e-commerce marketplace platforms. Manage and grow existing marketplace accounts. Identify and establish suitable new marketplace accounts. Develop and optimise product listings, including:Titles Descriptions Specifications Keywords Imagery Pricing Other relevant content Benchmark product listings, pricing and product presentation against leading local and international competitors. Monitor and analyse:Product rankings Traffic Conversion rates Sales Returns Customer reviews Overall account performance Understand and manage the back-end systems used by major marketplace platforms. Plan promotions and pricing strategies while protecting margins and profitability. Analyse sales patterns and prepare accurate stock forecasts. Identify fast-moving, slow-moving and out-of-stock products before they negatively impact sales. Produce regular reports covering:Sales Margins Marketplace performance Inventory requirements Growth opportunities Manage and review the work of the E-Commerce Administrator. Resolve marketplace issues relating to:Listings Orders Stock Pricing Content Account performance Work closely with buying, marketing, operations and finance teams to improve overall e-commerce performance. Continuously test, analyse and improve marketplace performance to maximise conversion and profitability.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum2 years hands-on experience managing e-commerce marketplace accounts . Previous experience as a:Key Account Manager Marketplace Manager E-Commerce Manager Similar commercial e-commerce professional Deep working knowledge of the back-end systems used by major marketplace platforms. Demonstrable experience improving product listings and increasing marketplace sales. Strong numerical and analytical ability. Proven ability to analyse sales data and forecast stock requirements. Strong commercial understanding of:Pricing Margins Promotions Profitability Strong competitor research and benchmarking skills. Ability to identify problems and opportunities independently without waiting to be instructed. Strong Excel and reporting skills. High standards, sound commercial judgement and strong attention to detail.

Advantageous

Previous experience supervising or directing an E-Commerce Administrator. Experience managing multiple marketplace platforms simultaneously. Experience with marketplace optimisation, conversion improvement and product performance analysis. Strong understanding of e-commerce reporting and performance metrics. You are an experienced e-commerce professional withhands-on marketplace management experience . You understand that successful marketplace performance requires more than simply uploading products. You are highly analytical and able to identify exactly what is preventing a product listing from performing at its full potential. You are commercially minded and understand the relationship between:Pricing Product presentation Traffic Conversion Stock availability Margins Profitability You are proactive and constantly look for ways to improve marketplace performance. You are confident conducting competitor benchmarking and using data to make commercial decisions. You are comfortable managing an E-Commerce Administrator and taking ownership of the overall marketplace function. You have high standards, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. You enjoy working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment where your decisions can have a direct impact on sales and profitability.
