Our client, a well-established company within the textile and clothing manufacturing industry, is seeking a Junior Sales Merchandiser to join their team.

The successful candidate will support the Sales and Merchandising team with customer requirements, product and order administration, sourcing coordination and order follow-through. This is an ideal opportunity for an organised, commercially minded and customer-focused individual looking to grow within the clothing manufacturing industry.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2–3 years’ experience within textile or clothing manufacturing is essential.
• Previous experience in sales support, merchandising, order processing, customer service, buying/procurement support or a similar commercial function.
• Matric required.
• Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field will be advantageous.
• Experience dealing with customers, suppliers and internal operational teams.
• Basic understanding of orders, quotations, pricing, costing and margins.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent administration, planning and follow-up skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Energetic, proactive and eager to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with customers and follow up on requirements and orders.
• Prepare and coordinate quotations, product information and order documentation.
• Track orders from placement through sourcing, production and delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers, service providers and internal departments regarding timelines and outstanding actions.
• Monitor order progress and escalate potential delays or risks.
• Assist with product sourcing and new product opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales and order information.
• Prepare and maintain basic sales/order reports.
• Support the team in achieving customer service, OTIF and commercial objectives.
• Provide general sales and merchandising administration and support.
