Chief Behavioural Engineer

We are seeking an in-house registered Industrial Psychologist to join our Executive Committee as Chief Behavioural Engineer, directing our Talent and Performance engines with the same analytical rigor our engineering and finance teams bring to operations. Serving as an equal-voting peer on the top leadership team with high intellect, high emotional intelligence and low ego, you will bring extreme operational ownership to elevate our established culture, optimise human mechanics, and hold leadership accountable.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an equal-voting top leadership member to optimise executive dynamics and enhance decision-making rigor. Hold the mirror for top leadership self-awareness and development.
• Direct the Talent and Performance leads to engineer high-velocity sourcing, onboarding, skill matrix mapping, and discipline systems.
• Operationalise and elevate our established culture code ("The EM Way") across management, eliminating operational friction and driving high-performance behaviours.

Requirements:

• Registered Industrial/Organisational Psychologist with proven in-house corporate experience and a track record of extreme operational ownership (no lifetime consultants).
• Executive-level courage and intellect to balance a highly analytical, process-driven team and hold leadership - including the CEO - accountable.
• Low-ego, team-first mindset committed to a 5+ year horizon, with the adaptability to elevate our established culture rather than impose a pre-packaged playbook.
• Equal seat on the top leadership team with true voting authority, shaping strategy and executive dynamics alongside peers rather than sitting in a siloed function.
• Complete ownership to engineer human systems, optimise talent mechanics, and scale an established culture over a meaningful 5+ year strategic horizon.
