Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Driver to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and passengers to their designated locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and responsibly operate company vehicles to transport goods and passengers
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to reach destinations
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and passengers
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods as neededConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients
• Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs to management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional driver
• Knowledge of local roads and routes
• Excellent driving skills and ability to operate various types of vehicles
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Durban, South Africa. The Driver will be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on the needs of the company. The job may also involve some physical labor, such as loading and unloading goods.
