Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team at Crew Life at Sea. As a Nurse, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to crew members on board ships and vessels. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical care and treatment to crew members on board ships and vessels
• Assess and monitor patients' conditions and provide appropriate treatments
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients
• Educate crew members on health and safety practices and provide guidance on healthy living habits
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients
• Assist in emergency situations and provide first aid as needed
• Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment on board ships
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on board ships
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Valid nursing license in the country of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
• Experience in emergency care and/or critical care is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Willingness to travel and work on board ships for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and protocols is an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their needs
