Accounts Administrator Junior Accountant

My client in Stellenbosch is looking for a motivated and resilient Accounts Administrator / Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about accounting enjoys learning and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
• Customer and supplier invoicing
• Bank creditor debtor and balance sheet reconciliations
• Stock-related accounting and reconciliations
• Month-end processing and support
• Assisting with multiple entities within the group
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting accounting processes
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies and accounting issues
• General financial administration and reporting

The ideal candidate is:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• SAIPA articles would be highly advantageous
• Relevant accounting experience either in an accounting firm or industry environment
• Experience working with multiple entities is advantageous
• Experience using Xero and/or Accounting ERP systems
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong administrative and organisational skills

Solid Microsoft Excel skills including:

• Lookups
• Pivot tables
• Formula creation and maintenance
• Experience with reconciliations and transactional processing
• Payroll experience would be an added advantage

Qualification:

• Matric
• Degree or tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
