About the Role As an E-CAD & Hardware Engineer \/ Electrical Work Planner , you'll be responsible for developing electrical designs, selecting suitable hardware solutions, and preparing detailed technical work packages for industrial projects. You'll work closely with engineering teams, site supervisors, technicians, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure electrical designs are accurately translated into safe, practical, and efficient on-site execution. What You'll Be Doing Your responsibilities will include: Electrical Design & Engineering: Creating and developing electrical schematics using E-CAD software, primarily Eplan or similar systems Hardware Engineering: Selecting and defining suitable electrical hardware solutions while ensuring compatibility across the complete system Work Preparation: Translating engineering designs and technical plans into clear, detailed work packages for on-site execution Project Planning: Preparing work schedules, identifying required materials, and following up on material orders and availability Technical Coordination: Acting as the link between engineering teams, site supervisors, technicians, suppliers, and other project stakeholders Site Support: Providing technical guidance to execution teams and assisting with electrical and hardware-related issues during installation Testing & Commissioning Preparation: Preparing and supporting testing activities, including I\/O checks, loop checks, and commissioning activities Quality & Safety: Incorporating HSE requirements into work preparation and contributing to project risk assessments Documentation: Maintaining accurate technical documentation and assisting with updating and preparing as-built documentation We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you'll have: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Automation , or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered Experience working with Eplan or other E-CAD software , such as AutoCAD Electrical, SEE Electrical, Saber, or similar Knowledge or experience within industrial Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) projects Ability to read, understand, and work with complex electrical schematics and technical drawings Understanding of PLCs, electrical wiring, hardware components, and industrial electrical systems Strong planning, coordination, and technical problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively across engineering and on-site execution teams Strong communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary project environments A curious, adaptable, hands-on approach with strong critical-thinking abilities Candidate Requirements South African citizen Fluent in Afrikaans and English Willing and able to relocate to Belgium Valid passport or willing to obtain one Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities Comfortable working across both engineering and on-site project environments Passion for continuous professional and technical development What's On Offer Full-time, permanent employment Opportunity to work on a large-scale industrial project within a high-tech production environment Competitive salary package Personalised professional development programme Dedicated experienced mentor supporting technical and career development One-on-one coaching and personal development support Generous study and development budget Holiday pay Profit-sharing opportunities Pension budget Opportunity to take initiative and grow within the organisation Transparent and energetic working culture focused on continuous professional and personal development Build Your Future in Belgium If you're an Electrical Engineer, E-CAD Engineer, Hardware Engineer, or Electrical Work Planner with experience in industrial electrical projects and E-CAD systems, we'd love to hear from you.
