Duties & Responsibilities
Our client a major player in the hospitality and gaming industry is looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Manager to join their high-performing finance team.
This is an opportunity for a CA(SA) who enjoys getting into the detail while still understanding the bigger commercial picture. Youll be involved across financial reporting IFRS tax VAT budgeting and forecasting while also taking responsibility for a team and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial reviews analysis and management reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.
- Prepare and review tax and VAT submissions reconciliations and calculations including engagement with SARS.
- Drive budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Prepare and review annual financial statements and provide technical input on IFRS tax and Companies Act matters.
- Support internal and external audits group reporting and key finance projects.
- Lead manage and develop the finance team while ensuring reporting deadlines are consistently met.
Minimum Requirements
- CA(SA) essential.
- 2 years post-articles commercial experience.
- Strong IFRS financial reporting tax and VAT knowledge including SARS liaison.
- Experience with annual financial statement preparation and review budgets and forecasts.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; exposure to Accpac or CaseWare advantageous.
- Strong analytical communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
