Senior Structural Engineer

Our client is an established engineering consultancy based in Pretoria, delivering professional engineering solutions across a diverse range of structural and civil engineering projects. They are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to take a leading role in the planning, design and delivery of projects, while providing technical direction, mentoring junior professionals and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Requirements:

• BEng/ BSc in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant structural/civil engineering experience, including at least 2 years post-registration
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
• Proven experience with commercial developments, including office buildings, retail developments, hotels and healthcare facilities
• Experience with bridges and/or water-retaining structures will be advantageous
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Prokon and MS Office

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception through to completion, either independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications and other project documentation in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies, option analyses and technical due diligence to support project development.
• Plan, coordinate and manage structural design resources to ensure quality, programme and project delivery requirements are achieved.
