Our client is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to join the Port Elizabeth team,

Performroutine inspections on machinery and equipment
Assist withpreventative maintenance activities
Assist withminor machine repairs and breakdowns
Reportequipment faults and maintenance concerns
Assist withbasic fabrication, welding, and workshop tasks
Maintaingood housekeeping standards in the workshop and maintenance areas
Completemaintenance checklists and basic documentation
Assist withmachinery installations and maintenance projects as required
Adhere tocompany health and safety procedures at all times
Assist withbasic welding, cutting, and grinding activities under supervision
Assist withthe repair and maintenance of machine guards, frames, and related equipment
Safely usemaintenance and workshop tools and equipment
Supportsenior maintenance personnel with fabrication and workshop tasks as required
Assist withthe preparation of materials and components for maintenance and repair work
Workclosely with the production and maintenance teams to support daily operationalrequirements

Grade12
Technicalschool qualification, N2/N3 Mechanical qualification, or equivalent would beadvantageous
1 to 3years' experience in a manufacturing, production, or maintenance environmentwould be advantageous
Basicwelding and steel fabrication experience
Basicunderstanding of mechanical systems and machinery
Knowledgeof hydraulics and pneumatics would be advantageous
Basicelectrical maintenance and fault-finding experience would be advantageous
Ability toread and interpret basic technical drawings
Computerliteracy (MS Office)
Validdriver's licence would be advantageous
Validforklift licence would be advantageous
