Integration Engineer

Integration Engineer Duration: Permanent Location: Somerset West, Cape Town Overview: We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to design, build, and support integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of databases, APIs, and software integration principles, coupled with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working directly with clients, and delivering robust integration solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strong performers will have the opportunity to progress into a Projects Lead role. Key Responsibilities: Configure endpoint access for customer applications and services across test and production environments. Design and implement integration solutions. Collaborate with clients during testing, quality assurance, and deployment phases to ensure production readiness. Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues. Provide support and guidance on complex integration scenarios when required. Maintain clear documentation and communicate project progress with stakeholders. Requirements Previous experience in software implementation, business analysis, software testing, technical support, or a similar role. Good understanding of integration concepts and technologies, including: HTTP REST and SOAP APIs SQL and relational databases FTP and file systems Experience working with SQL databases and writing database queries. Experience using API testing tools such as Postman is beneficial. Basic scripting experience in any programming language is advantageous. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous. Flowgear Certification is advantageous.
