Identify process and equipment improvements across current manufacturing operations. Provide manufacturing expertise on new product development projects and establish unified automation and operational standards.

Requirement:

• Bachelors degree in Mechatronics Engineering, or a BTech / Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering (Light Current).
• Total Experience: 58 years in an automated design manufacturing environment.
• Design & Controls Experience: Minimum 34 years of hands-on experience in designing automated machinery across mechanical, electrical, software, and control domains.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Legacy Equipment Support

• Maintain and continuously optimize existing control systems, PLC software, and HMI interface designs.
• Diagnose and support standard mechanical and electrical aspects of manufacturing machinery.
• Provide direct and remote technical plant support for local and international production facilities.
• Supervise and assist Automation Technicians with test equipment fabrication, plant installation, supplier jig/fixture maintenance, and equipment calibration.

New Product Development & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with R&D during early-stage product design to apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
• Partner with external automation vendors to assist with User Requirements Specifications (URS), system integration, commissioning oversight, and long-term support.
• Continuous Improvement & Standardized Engineering
• Identify efficiency and throughput opportunities within manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Help establish standardized project execution frameworks, including software guidelines, documentation templates, component standards, and commissioning procedures.
• Evaluate international equipment to ensure compliance with regional safety and site standards.
• Maintain full ISO 9001 compliance across all test equipment and system documentation.

Knowledge Transfer & Team Leadership

• Mentor team members to build overall technical capability across manufacturing processes and control systems.
• Delegate, coordinate, and track technical assignments effectively.
