ProjectLink is looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Clerk of Works for a 12-month assignment in Ogies.

The role is focused on the inspection and quality oversight of E&I construction work. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an active project environment identifying non-compliant work and following issues through to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect electrical and instrumentation installations against approved drawings specifications and applicable standards
• Monitor the quality of E&I construction work
• Identify defects deviations and non-conformances
• Maintain inspection records punch lists and quality documentation
• Monitor the close-out of corrective actions
• Witness inspections testing and commissioning activities where required
• Coordinate with contractors engineers and other project disciplines
• Report on construction quality progress and outstanding issues
• Support project handover and close-out activities
• Promote compliance with site safety and quality requirements

Minimum qualifications

A National Diploma or N6 in one of the following:

• Electrical Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Process Control Engineering

Experience required

• At least five years of experience in E&I construction inspection or supervision
• At least three years of experience in mining mineral processing industrial plant or EPCM/EPC project environments
• Proven experience conducting electrical and instrumentation quality inspections
• Experience interpreting E&I drawings specifications and inspection requirements

Advantageous

• Trade Test as an Electrician or Instrument Mechanician
• Quality Control Inspector qualification
• Previous experience on coal mining projects
