This is a visible, operational leadership role requiring strong people management, exceptional guest service and the ability to support both treatments and spa reception when required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant Spa, Beauty Therapy, Somatology or Wellness qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience within a professional spa or luxury wellness environment
- Previous spa supervisory or management experience essential
- Qualified and willing to perform professional spa treatments when required
- Comfortable overseeing and supporting spa reception
- 4 or 5-star hotel spa or luxury hospitality experience advantageous
- Strong spa operations and guest service knowledge
- Proven team leadership, coaching and development experience
- Staff rostering, attendance and leave management experience
- Strong guest relations and service-recovery skills
- Stock control and monthly stock take experience
- Understanding of spa revenue, commissions and operational reporting
- Spa management system experience; Fresha advantageous
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Professional grooming and presentation
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- South African ID or valid work authorisation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of daily spa operations
- Lead, motivate and develop the spa team
- Perform treatments when operationally required
- Oversee and support spa reception operations
- Manage bookings, scheduling and the complete guest journey
- Manage rosters and ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Handle guest concerns and service recovery
- Manage stock, inventory and monthly stock takes
- Monitor revenue, commissions and operational performance
- Maintain excellent hygiene, treatment and service standards
- Work closely with other hotel departments
- Drive an exceptional luxury spa guest experience
This role is ideal for an experienced Spa Manager who leads from the front, enjoys being part of the daily operation and understands that great spa management happens both on the floor and behind the scenes.
