Job description
Faurecia Clean Mobility (FCM), a global automotive technology leader with operations in 25 countries, is offering a 12-month YES Graduate opportunity for a PC&L (Production Control & Logistics) Graduate at its Port Elizabeth plant. The programme aims to expose graduates to production, logistics, industrial engineering, and operational improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on optimising work standards, improving processes, supporting layout updates, and applying industrial engineering principles to enhance overall efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Establish, monitor, and improve work standards and process flows
- Assist in setting up performance measures and implementing operational improvements
- Maintain and update site layouts and warehouse layouts to align with operational changes
- Analyse and enhance business processes, work measurements, and operational design
- Conduct feasibility studies, gather data, and prepare structured reports and presentations
- Apply Industrial Engineering principles, lean methodologies, and FES (Faurecia Excellence System) standards
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Qualifications
- National Diploma or B-Tech in Industrial Engineering or Logistics Management (final-year 2025 students may apply with proof of completion)
- Strong computer literacy (intermediate level) and understanding of industrial engineering principles, especially in supply chain and logistics
- Analytical, detail-oriented, structured, proactive, and able to work methodically in a manufacturing environment
- South African citizen aged 18-35, and never previously registered for the YES Youth Programme
