Civil Project Engineer Mining Construction SPCPM

Location: Ogies Mpumalanga
Contract duration: 12 months

ProjectLink is looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer for a 12-month assignment on a mining project in Ogies.

The role requires someone with strong civil construction experience who can work effectively across engineering construction and project teams. You should be comfortable working on-site engaging with contractors and stakeholders and addressing issues that may affect safety quality cost or schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering support and oversight during construction
• Monitor work against approved drawings specifications and project requirements
• Coordinate with contractors consultants and other project stakeholders
• Identify and address technical issues construction risks and potential delays
• Monitor construction quality and compliance
• Support progress reporting and the close-out of actions
• Contribute to the safe and timely delivery of the project

Required qualifications and experience

• BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering
• Between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in mining industrial or EPCM projects
• Experience in the construction management or execution of large capital projects
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer would be advantageous

Preferred experience

Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:

• Open-pit or underground mining projects
• Coal mining or mineral processing facilities
• EPCM EPC or integrated project environments
• Mine-expansion projects
• Brownfield and greenfield projects
