An experienced HR Officer/Administrator is sought to independently manage contracts, staff hours, and disciplinary processes for a 100-person retail team, while providing sound labour law guidance to the business.
Location: Thornton, Cape Town
Salary: R 20 000 - R 30 000

Key Requirements:

• 3–5 years' HR experience, ideally within a retail or similar high-headcount environment
• Sound working knowledge of labour law, with the ability to provide input and guidance
• Experience managing HR functions for a staff complement of around 100 employees
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the HR function
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Confident handling disciplinary processes and difficult conversations

Key Responsibilities:

• Draw up and manage staff contracts
• Manage staff hours, scales, and payment processes
• Handle disciplinary processes from start to finish
• Provide input and guidance on labour law matters
• Liaise with and manage HR-related matters for floor staff
• Address and resolve recurring weekly staff/operational matters
• Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries across the business
