POSITION INFO:
Our client needs an experienced Payroll Tax Manager to lead the global payroll tax function. This is an in-office role in Fourways for someone who likes ownership, precision and complex tax calculations, with full regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities Own payroll tax: payments, reconciliations, queries and files. Process and audit tax payrolls across multiple countries, including month-end. Payroll tax reporting, accruals and statutory submissions. Run the global payroll tax process and systems. Apply CBA, Union, and tax authority guidelines. Verify banking-platform payments; pay creditors and payroll partners on time. Set policy and manage the payroll tax team. Support cash flow, Excel calculations and system improvements. Keep payroll information confidential. Requirements 5+ years’ international payroll tax experience, including multi-country operations. Proven tax payroll management experience. Cross-border tax, tax treaties and totalisation agreements. Statutory withholding and social security across multiple jurisdictions (EU, UK, APAC, Americas). Expatriate\/inpatriate tax: shadow payroll, tax equalisation and hypothetical tax. Relationships with in-country payroll providers, tax authorities and consultants. Payroll systems such as ADP, Payspace or Numbrs, plus advanced Excel. Leadership of a payroll tax team. High attention to detail, discretion and competing deadlines across time zones. Preferred Degree in , or Tax (CPP, CPA or international payroll certification a plus). Union and CBA payroll processing. Payroll system implementation or tax process improvement. Shared services or global mobility.
