Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Grain Procurer to join their team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring grain, managing relationships with producers and suppliers, monitoring market trends and negotiating competitive prices to support the organisation’s procurement objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual with strong negotiation, communication and agricultural industry knowledge who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Minimum requirement

• Matric

• Relevant Bachelor's degree in Marketing would be an advantage

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in grain marketing

• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

• Valid driver's license and own vehicle

• "Safex traders" exam would be an advantage

• Fluent in Afrikaans and English

• Advanced knowledge of Excel

• Good numerical skills

• Strong sales and marketing skills

• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage service producers within the designated area and maintain effective communication and professional relationships to support their operational requirements

• Coordinate and oversee service producers within the designated area to ensure targets and client requirements are effectively managed

• Manage SAFEX (South African Futures Exchange) clients and options by providing ongoing support and monitoring client positions and requirements

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and track targets to monitor performance and ensure set objectives are achieved

• Monitor client activities and maintain relevant records to support effective reporting and portfolio management

• Manage logistics planning for clients by coordinating requirements and ensuring efficient planning and execution of logistics activities

• Manage client portfolios by monitoring SAFEX (South African Futures Exchange) positions and assisting with the implementation of appropriate marketing strategies

• Monitor SAFEX (South African Futures Exchange) positions and provide ongoing portfolio management to support clients' marketing strategies and objectives

Remuneration

R 40 000 Cost to Company (including pension fund and medical aid contribution), depending on experience

Work hours

Monday - Friday: 07h30 - 17h00

Saturdays: 08h00 - 12h00
