POSITION INFO:
Our client, a well-established company in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Cabinet Making & Installation Foreman to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in the manufacturing, finishing and installation of kitchen and bedroom cupboards, combined with proven foreman or supervisory experience. The successful candidate must have a keen eye for detail, excellent finishing standards and the ability to oversee a team while ensuring that projects are completed to a high standard, on time and according to specifications.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in cabinet making and installation
• Proven experience in the installation of cupboards
• Previous foreman, supervisor or team leader experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Experience in preparing accurate cutting lists
• Strong knowledge of cabinetry materials, hardware, fittings and installation methods
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and neatness
• Good knowledge of measurements and the ability to work accurately to specifications
• Good planning, organizational and communication abilities
• Must be willing to travel to various project sites when required
• Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise the installation of kitchen and bedroom cupboards
• Read and interpret building plans, technical drawings and cabinetry specifications
• Prepare and check cutting lists and material requirements
• Measure and assess installation areas to ensure accurate fitment
• Ensure all cabinetry is properly aligned, levelled, fitted and finished
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure high standards of finishing, detail and neatness
• Inspect completed work and identify any defects or required adjustments
• Manage tools, materials and equipment required for projects
• Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
• Travel to different project sites as required
• Ensure a professional standard of workmanship and customer service is maintained
