POSITION INFO:

Job Title: HR Manager- (Johannesburg based)

Department- HR & Recruitment

Reporting to the Head of Operations & CEO

Responsible for:

• The overall management of HR for the company and associate companies,
• Applying HR best practices and ensure compliance with the various labour legislations,
• Regulations and SEIFSA,
• Complete HR oversight and management, including,
• Recruitment and selection,
• Appointment and on-boarding,
• Induction of new personnel,
• Full HR administration, including personnel record management,
• Preparing and signing of employment contracts,
• Compiling and updating of the company’s policies and procedures,
• Job modelling and appraisals,
• Training and development,
• Employee relations and discipline,
• Managing union related matters if and when applicable,
• EE planning and reporting,
• Skills development planning and reporting,
• B-BBEE compliance,
• Preparation of HR reports – monthly or as required,
• Risk alerting to top management of all and any matter/issue, and resolving of same,
• Legislative and regulatory compliance – ensuring the company meet full and acceptable compliance,
• Responsible for complete payroll function,
• Manage and keep within HR budget.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years’ HR experience at a mid-senior level,
• Manufacturing experience in steel/aluminum, copper, ingots, or other metals
• Suitable tertiary qualification in HR,
• Labour law Strong labour law experience including representation at the CCMA,
• Excellent computer skills Excellent communication skills, written and spoken Excellent interpersonal skills,
• Excellent leadership skills,
• Excellent planning and organisational skills,
• Excellent reporting skills,
• Own transport,
• Highly disciplined and professional Meticulous attention to detail,
• Maintain high level of confidentiality,
• Able to work independently and as a team Able to plan ahead and be proactive,
• Male candidates aged 35-50 preferred
• Ability to work under extreme pressure,
• Emotional intelligence,

Company operates on a 24/7 basis – it is a requirement that the successful candidate would be required to work on Saturdays (from 8am – 1pm).
