EPlan Designer

SUMMARY:
Join a a well-established South African engineering company with over 30 years of experience delivering Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) turnkey projects across the mining, water treatment, food & beverage, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and power generation sectors.

They are looking for an EPlan designer to join their engineering team

Key Responsibilities

• Design MV and LV electrical distribution systems.
• Produce detailed electrical engineering designs and project documentation.
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Design Motor Control Centres (MCCs), distribution boards and control panels.
• Prepare cable schedules, termination drawings and equipment layouts.
• Specify electrical equipment and prepare technical documentation for procurement.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing and protection coordination.
• Design and integrate industrial control systems.
• Work closely with PLC, SCADA and Automation Engineers during project execution.
• Provide engineering support during manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
• Assist with FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant South African standards and client specifications.
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial electrical design.
• Experience within industrial plants, mining, manufacturing, water treatment, power generation or process industries.
• Strong knowledge of:MV & LV DistributionMotor Control Centres (MCCs)Power Distribution SystemsIndustrial Control SystemsInstrumentation
• Experience producing electrical drawings using EPlan
• Knowledge of SANS and IEC electrical standards.
• PLC and SCADA systems.
• Industrial automation projects.
