SUMMARY:
Manage and lead Sales team with a strong focus on achieving targets

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12, coupled with 3 to 5 years of Automotive Sales Management experience within a franchised motor dealership
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Marketing or Commerce advantageous
  • Valid, unendorsed South African driver’s licence
  • Strong working knowledge of local Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline

KEY PERMORMANCE AREAS

Sales & Financial Management

  • Target achievement : Implement strategic sales plans to hit monthly, quarterly and annual unit and gross profit targets
  • Deal Approval: Assist Sales Executives with complex customer negotiations, deal structuring, valuations and final closing
  • F&I Integration: Work closely with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to optimize finance penetration, warranties and value-added products (VAP''''''''s)
  • Budgeting: Monitor daily, weekly and monthly financial performance, managing expenses against departmental budgets

Stock Management

  • Stock Control: Oversee vehicle stock levels, mix and floorplan requirements
  • Valuations & Pricing: Perform accurate trade-in appraisals, price used inventory and manage stock ageing to ensure fast stock-turn

Team Leadership

  • Coaching: Lead, mentor and motivate Sales Executives through daily floor presence and regular performance reviews
  • Training: Ensure the team is up to date on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) product launches, specifications and sales techniques

Customer Experience & Compliance

  • CSI Management: Monitor the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), resolve escalations promptly and drive customer retention
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to South African legislation including the National Credit Act (NCA), Consumer Protection Act (CPA), FICA and POPIA
