Senior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join their remote finance team, supporting operations across various locations including Stellenbosch . This critical role involves leading financial planning and analysis activities, providing insights into financial performance, and driving strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and developing financial models to support business initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, possesses strong communication skills for remote collaboration, and has a proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations, thriving in a distributed work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
• Conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying key drivers of financial performance and providing insightful commentary.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning, M&A activities, and new business ventures.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key trends and recommendations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams remotely to ensure alignment on financial objectives and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.
• Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan) is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
