Professional Structural Engineer

SUMMARY:
An established engineering consultancy is seeking a professionally registered Structural Engineer to join its growing team. This role is suited to an experienced professional with strong technical expertise in structural design, project leadership, and client engagement, capable of delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of projects.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept through to completion Prepare and review structural designs, feasibility studies, and value-engineering solutions Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes Mentor and support junior engineers within the team Manage multiple projects while meeting budgets, quality standards, and deadlines Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as required Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in structural engineering Proven experience in the design of concrete, steel, and load-bearing structures Experience on commercial and multi-storey building projects Strong project management and leadership capabilities Proficient in structural analysis and design software, including Prokon or similar finite element programs Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Qualification: BEng or BSc in Professionally registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for project-related activities Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Engineering recruitment vacancies.
