Software Engineering Automation Specialist

Key Responsibilities
As the Automation & DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Drive improvements in Requirements Management processes and traceability throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain requirements, design, verification, and validation baselines.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards including DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754A, and EN9100.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and associated toolsets.
• Develop and support Agile development practices including continuous integration, testing, delivery, and deployment.
• Manage and enhance Jira workflows, reporting systems, and engineering dashboards.
• Administer and maintain user authentication systems, including LDAP environments.
• Collaborate with global teams on infrastructure and cloud deployment initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and optimise automation scripts and engineering tool integrations.
• Support migration from legacy systems and contribute to cybersecurity compliance initiatives.
• Identify and implement new technologies that improve engineering productivity and development processes.

Qualifications

• BEng in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Honours or Master's Degree would be advantageous.

Experience

• 10 years Experience within a software, systems engineering, or product development environment.
• Exposure to Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and Continuous Integration methodologies.
• Experience in highly regulated or safety-critical industries will be advantageous.

• SQL and MySQL databases
• Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting
• CI/CD Pipeline Development

• Container Technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) exposure advantageous
