About the Role
They are seeking a Group Parts Logistics Supervisor to lead the end-to-end urgent parts logistics function. This role ensures the fast, cost-effective sourcing, replenishment, and availability of critical Parts and Accessories from both local and international suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Service Management: Monitor inventory performance, manage demand and backorders, optimize stock levels, and ensure service level targets are met.
- Cost Control: Analyze airfreight costs, manage excess and obsolete inventory, and coordinate supplier claims to maximize cost efficiency.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate detailed inventory, demand, service level, and performance reports to drive strategic business decisions.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 / VDA standards, participate in audits, and drive continuous process improvements.
- People Leadership: Lead, coach, develop, and manage the performance of a team of Analysts to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related business qualification (e.g., CPIM, B.Com Supply Chain).
- Specialized training in SAP, forecasting systems, or international logistics is advantageous.
Experience:
- 4–5 years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, or related logistics functions within an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 / VDA standards and procurement governance and compliance procedures.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies:
- Strong expertise in inventory management, sourcing, import logistics, manufacturing lead times, and supplier/freight forwarder management.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and inventory systems (IDIS, EPIS, ETKA or equivalent systems).
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with raw data interpretation skills.
- Strong ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
- Self-driven, organized, and methodical with the capability to work independently.
- Confident, assertive communicator with professional customer-service etiquette across all organizational levels and external logistics partners.
