Job Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, You will be responsible for:
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and adhere to all safety requirements, policies and procedures of the company
Adherence to plant maintenance schedule
Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the maintenance activities to ensure better MTBF
Monitor critical machine spares availability and lead times
Manage contractors to complete work on schedule to appropriate standards
Work hands on and lead from the front approach
Improve equipment availability and reliability
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
Cost control of the allocated budget
Mentoring and identify opportunities for upskilling of staff

Qualifications

Minimum N4 in Electrical / Electro-Mechanical
Trade Tested in Millwright or Electrictrician

Skills

Minimum of 5 years post trade test work experience
Minimum 3 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or leadership role in an FMCG manufacturing environment
Experience in a plastics injection moulding manufacturing environment essential
Practical experience in fault finding, industrial electronics, variable speed drives, servo motors, PLC controls, pneumatics & Advanced hydraulics systems, interpret and read electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams
Experience on SAP or other ERP system would be advantageous
Microsoft Office skills
Comply with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System procedures and instructions

Salary/Package

R500K R550K CTC per annum
