About The Role

Beekay Direct Marketing is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Sales Associates to join our growing team in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their careers in sales who are eager to learn, develop new skills, and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Engage customers warmly, listen to their needs, provide product recommendations, and answer queries effectively to help them make purchasing decisions.
• Merchandise Management:Ensure products are presented attractively and orderly.
• Store Maintenance:Keep the sales area clean and tidy and ensure safety standards are met.
• Returns and Complaints:Handle conflict smoothly while maintaining a positive customer relationship. Resolve complaints or **escalate** them to supervisors when needed.

Skills Required

• Communication:Clear and friendly interaction with customers.
• Basic Math:Handling cash transactions and giving correct change.
• Attention to Detail:Keeping track of inventory and store presentation.
• Patience and Problem-Solving:Managing difficult customers or situations calmly.
• Sales Ability:Encouraging purchases through product knowledge and upselling.

Qualifications and Experience

• Usually, a high school diploma is sufficient.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but often not mandatory.
• On-the-job training is commonly provided.
