Quality Assurance Specialist - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to bolster their team in Pretoria . This hybrid role focuses on ensuring that all pharmaceutical products manufactured and distributed meet stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance. You will be involved in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to quality management, working collaboratively with production, R&D, and regulatory affairs departments to uphold the integrity and safety of our client's pharmaceutical offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and approve quality-related documents, including SOPs, validation protocols, and batch records.
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GMP and other relevant regulations.
• Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Oversee the qualification and validation of equipment, processes, and analytical methods.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and product quality, identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide training to personnel on quality systems and GMP principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS), CAPA, change control, and deviation management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
