Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets for technology-driven projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and project coordinators, fostering their professional growth and ensuring effective team dynamics.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve agreed outputs.
- Proactively identify and address project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project status, updates, and potential challenges effectively to all relevant parties, including executive leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management , with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing technology projects.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex IT projects, including software development, system integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies , with experience in hybrid environments.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is essential.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships across different organizational levels in Cape Town .
