Supply Chain Analyst - Retail
About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven and strategic Supply Chain Analyst to optimize their retail logistics operations in Nelspruit . You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying inefficiencies, and developing recommendations to improve cost, speed, and reliability. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. While much of the analysis and reporting can be done remotely, you will need to be on-site periodically for meetings, site visits, and collaboration with warehouse and operations teams within the Mpumalanga region. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our retail supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and responsive to market demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics, including costs, transit times, and inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, sales) and external partners to implement supply chain initiatives.
- Support the forecasting and demand planning processes to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to warehouse operations, transportation routes, and network design.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis , logistics, or operations research within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
- Experience with supply chain planning and execution software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
